The broadsides and postcards created for Art in Common Places are hung around Sarasota County at places where people might not otherwise see art or have a chance to read poetry.

 Where can you find our broadsides and postcards?

Our artwork and poetry can be found at such places as laundromats, nail salons, community centers, public housing facilities, libraries, gyms and healthcare facilities. Some specific locations are:

• All libraries in Sarasota County

• The Bay Sarasota and Discover Sarasota Tours

• Markets - Earth Origins and Whole Foods Market

• Bookstores - Shelf Indulgence and Parker Books

• Restaurants and coffee shops - Evergreen Cafe, Clever Cup, Breakfast at Victoria’s, Mama G’s Coffee, Panera Bread, Oasis Café & Bakery, Kahwa Coffee, and Beauty of Sprouts

• Core SRQ gyms in Sarasota and Palmer Ranch, Florida Chiropractic and Rehabilitation, Fyzical Therapy, NAMI’s Mental Health Community Center, Good Samaritan Health Center and Salvation Army

• Johnny’s Carwash and Ace Hardware

• Retail Stores - A’Tu Jewelry and Clothing and Pineapple Latin Boutique

How often are the materials updated?

Our team of volunteers swap out the broadside and postcards regularly with a different project, so viewers have a variety of art to enjoy. We replace postcards as needed and encourage viewers to take a card for free.

How can you help us with new locations?

We are looking for new locations where the owner, manager or person responsible is interested in hosting our beautiful artwork and poetry. Please contact us to refer us to someone you know who has a good location or recommend a place where we might reach out to ask.
